Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Sr. Drilling Engineer Advisor, located in Duri, Indonesia.

The position will be based in Duri due to the proximity to the suppliers and the shore base but some travel can be expected.
Duri, Indonesia has a tropical climate which is uniformly hot and humid year round. Frequent heavy rain is experienced from October through June and a less frequent rainy season from July through September.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Sr. Engineering Advisor to the drilling division within the Indonesia Business Unit's Sumatra Operations group (SMO) is a highly influential position and is responsible for mentoring and training throughout all levels of the organization and addressing technical and operational issues associated with the drilling activities in SMO. Activities include land based drilling units, drilling and completing both light oil and heavy oil wells in support of both development and exploration operations.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a drilling engineer, with experience working in multiple environments and locations globally.

Extensive experience in large scale land based drilling operations.

Ability to work with and effectively mentor Drilling Site Managers, Drilling Engineers and Superintendents on drilling operations and drilling engineering to include : well control/blowout prevention, solids control, drilling fluids, casing design, cementing practices/evaluation, well planning, fishing, completions practices, and drilling optimization.

Candidates must be able to make data driven drilling decisions in a high activity environment.

Expected to be able to add production value drive performance improvements on development and exploration wells.

Able to effectively communicate, verbally and in written form. Has good interpersonal skills and adaptive in an environment where English is not the first language.

Must be able to work and value input from a diverse multi-discipline team dedicated to well construction activities. Has proven track record as a strong team player.

Relocation Options:

Relocation will be considered within Chevron parameters. *LI-TD1

Expatriate assignments will be considered.
